Bill Rouse has continued to pursue NSF funding for engineering systems following the successful NSF Workshop that he chaired.  Bill presented the Workshop results to many groups at conferences, universities and companies before submitting the final report.  Bill then met with several NSF officials including Richard Buckins, Assistant Director For Engineering, to review the final report and several related papers.  Buckins indicated the sense of our funding are reflected in the forthcoming NSF solicitation "Cyber-Enabled Discovery and Innovation."  He advocated our pursing next steps, in part, via this solicitation.
